Welcome to the National Association of Holmes Scholars Alumni (NAHSA) website. NAHSA was created to provide mentorship and professional development while creating safe spaces for Holmes Scholar Alumni and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) scholars who enter both academic and non-academic fields. Additionally, NAHSA upholds a commitment to providing these same training and support spaces for Holmes Scholars and Doctoral students of color in the many fields of education, including P-12 teacher education, counselor education, higher education, curriculum and instruction, etc.

NAHSA is comprised of passionate individuals who look to strengthen all levels of education and the experience of educators of color. Additionally, I want to thank the NAHSA Board for sharing both their time and expertise to the continued strengthening, building, and care of NAHSA and its members. I would like to also thank NAHSA members for their continued support of NAHSA. We will continue to collaborate with organizations like the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE), the American Educational Research Association (AERA), and university systems across the US.

Please join us for fellowship, programming, and mentorship opportunities, by joining NAHSA.

We look forward to working together for a brighter tomorrow.Tiphanie Gonzalez

Wishing you all well,
